Design Public Key Infrastructure

Public Key Infrastructure using Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services is a comprehensive undertaking that uses existing investments in Microsoft technologies to create a self-managed PKI solution. At the end of the engagement, your team will be fully prepared to deploy PKI–based services, such as smartcard authentication (HSPD-12), file encryption using the Encrypting File System (EFS), e-mail signing and encryption using Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME), wireless network authentication using Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) or Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2), and domain isolation with Internet Protocol Security (IPSec). A self-managed PKI does not require fees or separate licenses for each certificate issued or renewed, and it provides complete control of the infrastructure without third party dependencies.
